Behavioral Health Therapist

Licensed Behavioral Health Therapists provide important behavioral health care services to residents of Delta and Montrose Counties through the Families Plus program. Therapist are able to provide behavioral health services to any resident of these counties and also to lead services and provide therapy for children and youth who live in challenging circumstances. These therapists are credentialed with DORA as candidates for licensure or as fully licensed therapist.
Families Plus therapists provide a wide range of client services:
· Individual psychotherapy to all age groups
· Couples’ therapy
· Group therapy - especially for youth
· Assessments and treatments for adults and youth in court diversion programs
· Assess clients for needed wellness services needs such as neurofeedback or Health Math.
· Formulate and document accurate diagnosis for clients
· Providing System-of-Care leadership to staff members supporting the healthy development of youth. This involves supervising peer specialists called Parent Partners and Youth Partners. These staff members work in the homes and schools with families and youth to help them access many kinds of services that might reduce stress and support healthy youth development
· Writing assessments and treatment plans that are updated every six months
· Writing progress notes covering all client contacts and contacts on behalf of the client
· Establish and maintain relationships with complex children and their family members
Therapists also:
· Participate in promoting the Families Plus model of comprehensive services for youth growing up in challenging circumstances
· Work harmoniously on the Families Plus team including outreach workers, office coordinators, grant writers, and business managers
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Candidate for Licensure in Colorado or Supervision for Licensure
· M.A. or M.S. from an accredited college in clinical behavioral health therapy
· Licensed or immediately licensable with DORA (Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies) as a full therapist or as candidate for licensure.
· Interest in working with children and families
· Comfortable working on a collaborative team
· Valid Colorado Driver’s License.
· Has own transportation.
· Passes background checks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Compensation: $54,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
